Could this be the funkiest wine to land in Tetbury?! An ideal conversation starter with some cool winemaking going on behind the scenes (ask for more details!) but ultimately, this is a wine that highlights the creativity of the winemaker, a chap called Francesco.
Pet-Nat is a style of wine that continues (and finishes) fermenting in the bottle after being sealed. All the CO2 that would usually fizzle away is trapped in the bottle and dissolves into the wine, making it slightly fizzy.
Francesco uses two grape varieties for this particular wine - Sangiovese and Aleatico. They create a wonderfully fresh, strawberry and raspberry note to the wine, and almost an apple/cider quality comes through which we think is super interesting.
